Content at the Core
In this session, participants will explore designing units that take the focus off of explicit grammar instruction and put it on grammar and vocabulary in context. With content-based topics at the core, teachers can successfully build vocabulary and grammar skills that also develop spoken and written proficiency.

Robust Reading in World Languages
Reading in the world language classroom is fundamental to building proficiency. Participants will learn how using graded readers to develop units of study lead students to higher levels of proficiency.

Preparing for a Paradigm Shift in World Languages
The world language standards have changed and teachers are seeking ways to meet this new challenge. In this session, participants will learn about the ins and outs of acquisition driven language instruction.
